Gov Mohammed Appoints 173 Aides In Bauchi
Barely two years to the end of his second tenure, Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has approved the appointment of 173 aides.
The new appointees comprise six Principal Special Assistants, 60 Senior Special Assistants, 38 Special Assistants and 63 Personal Assistants.
LEADERSHIP understands that most of the appointees were major aides in political and community relations, pension matters, and labour matters.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Mohammed Gidado, disclosed this in a statement made available to reporters in Bauchi on Tuesday.
Gidado said the appointments were to inject fresh energy into the administration while fostering a government that reflects the diverse aspirations of Bauchi’s citizens.
He described the new aides as seasoned professionals and political figures with proven leadership capabilities and robust political backgrounds.
The media aide emphasised that the appointees were selected on merit and tasked them with ensuring people-centred approach to governance.
While congratulating them, Governor Mohammed called on the appointees to see their roles as a call to greater service, urging them to display dedication and loyalty in supporting his administration’s vision for sustainable development and improved service delivery.
“This administration is committed to consolidating on its achievements by building a legacy of good governance and inclusivity,” the statement read.
