EFCC Arrests Kaduna Technician Over Alleged Job Scam
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Kaduna Zonal Directorate, have arrested a technician, Saifullahi Ismail, for his alleged involvement in an employment fraud scheme.
Ismail, an employee of the Kaduna Electric Distribution Company, was apprehended on April 30, 2025, in the Abakpa New Extension area of Kaduna following credible intelligence.
According to the EFCC, Ismail and an accomplice, Halima Yakubu Ngulde, allegedly collected money from unsuspecting job seekers under the false pretense of securing employment for them in various government agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and even the EFCC itself.
Ngulde was previously arrested in November 2024, but Ismail had remained at large until his recent apprehension. During the operation, EFCC operatives recovered a forged EFCC employment letter from Ismail.
The suspect will be formally charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
