Police Rescue Kidnapped Woman, Arrest Suspects In Kano
Kano State Police Command has rescued a kidnapped woman and apprehended some suspects in connection with the abduction.
The Command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa disclosed this through a short message posted on his official Facebook page.
According to SP Kiyawa, the victim was abducted from Minjibir town in Kano, and taken to the Garki Forest area in neighbouring Jigawa State.
The messsage revealed that Police operatives engaged the kidnappers in a gun battle, “Some of the kidnappers were shot, and the others were all captured.”
He further stated that the rescued woman was safely recovered and weapons were recovered from the kidnappers.
