APC Govs Endorse Tinubu For 2027 Poll

Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have also joined the queue to formally endorse President Bola Tinubu as the party’s sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

The endorsement took place on Thursday during the APC National Summit at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The motion was moved by the chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma.

It was seconded by Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, drawing applause from party leaders and delegates present at the summit.

Speaking on behalf of the forum, Uzodimma said the APC governors were united in their confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and reforms.

He pledged the full commitment of the governors to mobilise political and electoral support in their respective states to ensure the President’s re-election in 2027 election.

“This is not just a show of support,” Uzodimma said. “It is a commitment to deliver. We believe in the Renewed Hope Agenda and we are determined to take the message to every corner of our states.

Governor Sani echoed the sentiments, describing Tinubu as the “architect of a new Nigeria” and noting that the administration’s reforms were beginning to yield results, especially in infrastructure, economic stabilisation, and social investment.

The endorsement is seen as a significant show of force from the party’s most influential bloc — the Progressive Governors Forum — and follows a recent vote of confidence in the President by APC governors from the North-Central region, among other blocs.
