FG Invests ₦1.5 Trillion to Tackle Food Crisis — Minister of Information

The Federal Government has committed ₦1.5 trillion towards resolving Nigeria’s food crisis through the revitalization of the Bank of Agriculture, according to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.

Speaking at the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) summit in Uyo, the minister assured citizens that the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda (RHA) is yielding progress and would soon usher in food sufficiency and economic recovery.

  • Urged PR professionals to help rebrand Nigeria and attract investment.

  • Called for partnerships between government, media, and PR experts.

• NIPR President Dr. Ike Neliaku:

  • Identified poor communication as a key failure in Nigerian leadership.

  • Announced Nigeria will host the 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF).

• Awards & Appointments:

  • Posthumous awards given to three contributors to national PR advancement, including the late Dr. Uduak Obot.
