Gov Otu Tasks Aides On Performance After 2 Years In Office
Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu has charged his special assistants not to limit themselves, but intensify efforts towards surpassing the current achievements recorded in his first two years in office.
Governor Otu gave the charge in Calabar, the Cross River State capital while reacting to his endorsement at the weekend by his special assistants who appealed to him to seek reelection in 2027.
The governor who spoke on the theme: “People First in Action – The Journey so Far,” as part of activities marking his two years in office, asserted that collective efforts would drive success.
Otu, represented by the Commissioner for Education, Senator Stephen Odey, expressed gratitude to his aides for their contributions toward nation building and economic development of the state.
“The best is yet to come, and by the end of this administration, Cross River State will never remain the same,” Otu declared.
He also lauded the managers of the state education sector for the giant stride recorded in making the state to rank 4th among top 10 states in the last National Examination Council (NECO) examinations.
Earlier in his remarks, Chairman, Forum of Special Assistants, Mr. Andrea Ekeng, described Governor Otu as a leader who stands with the people and not just sitting in office.
The event celebrated the governor’s people-centric approach to governance and the progress made so far under his administration in the first half of his tenure.
