EFCC Clarifies It Does Not Operate a TikTok Account

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a warning regarding fraudulent activity on TikTok, where scammers organized a live session on Thursday, 27 February 2025, using the Commission’s logo to deceive and defraud unsuspecting individuals.

The fraudsters created six fake accounts, all featuring the EFCC logo and names of non-existent directorates. Some of the fraudulent account names included: “EFCC of Nigeria,” “EFCC Lagos,” “EFCC Delta,” “EFCC of Benin,” “EFCC of Jos,” and “EFCC Saga.”

The EFCC has no official presence on TikTok, and the public is urged to disregard any accounts using the Commission’s logo or related insignia.
