Tinubu Upgrades VP Shettima’s Aides
President Bola Tinubu has approved the elevation of two key aides to the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, as part of ongoing efforts to implement the Renewed Hope Agenda of his administration.
The two aides are Mr. Temitola Adekunle-Johnson, who has been upgraded to Special Adviser to the President on Job Creation & MSME in the Office of the Vice President, and Mrs. Uju Anwuka, who now serves as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Health, also in the Office of the Vice President.
The announcement was made by the Vice President’s spokesman, Stanley Nkwocha, on Wednesday. The upgrades reflect the administration’s commitment to the development of key sectors, particularly job creation, MSMEs, and public health.
Prior to their promotions, Mr. Adekunle-Johnson and Mrs. Anwuka held roles as Senior Special Assistant and Special Assistant to the President, respectively, within the Vice President’s office.
Mr. Adekunle-Johnson had been instrumental in advancing policies related to job creation and MSME development, with notable initiatives under his leadership including the Expanded National MSME Clinics and the Shared Facility Initiative.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Anwuka had focused on tackling malnutrition and hunger in vulnerable communities across Nigeria, overseeing the launch of the Nutrition 774 Initiative, a significant program aimed at improving public health in underserved areas.
Their new appointments take effect immediately.
