JUST-IN: Rivers Assembly Issues Arrest Warrant Against RSIEC Chairman

The Rivers State House of Assembly has issued an arrest warrant against the chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), Justice Adolphus Enebeli (Retired), after he failed to appear before the House as requested.

The arrest warrant was issued by the Rt. Hon. Martins Amaewhule-led House on Monday following the expiration of a 72-hour ultimatum given to Enebeli to appear before the Assembly.

The RSIEC had previously scheduled a fresh local government election in the state for August 9, 2025, after the Supreme Court annulled the October 5, 2024, local government polls conducted in the state.
