BREAKING: Protesters Block Ondo Governor’s Office Over Herdsmen Killing Five Farmers

Angry protesters have shut down the Ondo State Governor’s Office in Alagbaka, Akure, in response to the killing of five farmers by armed herdsmen in Aba Oyinbo, located in Akure North Local Government Area.

Reports indicate that the victims were gunned down early Wednesday morning during another attack by the herdsmen.

Frustrated by the state government’s lack of action regarding the recurring killings, the protesters gathered outside the Governor’s Office, displaying the bodies of the victims.

The protest also caused a traffic gridlock, with commuters and motorists stranded along Akure/Owo Road. Protesters blocked the road in Ogbese, disrupting the flow of traffic.

This attack comes just two weeks after armed herdsmen killed 20 farmers across four settlements in the same local government area.
