Tinubu Seeks Senate Confirmation for 6 AMCON Board Members

President Bola Tinubu has submitted the names of six nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation as members of the Board of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).

The President’s request was presented in a letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during Wednesday’s plenary session in Abuja.

In the letter, Tinubu explained that the nominations were made in accordance with Section 10, Subsection 1 of the AMCON Establishment Act, 2019 (as amended).

The nominees include Dr. Bala Bello, nominated as Chairman of the AMCON Board. Other nominees for the position of Non-Executive Directors are Yusuf Tegina (North-Central), Adeyemo Adeoye (South-West), Charles Odiong Iyiore (South-South), Yahaya Ibrahim (North-West), and Emily Chidinma Osuji (South-East).
