Borno Man Kills Brother Over Harvest Dispute on Farm

A tragic altercation between two brothers over mango harvesting on a farm in Benishiekh, Kaga local government area of Borno State, has led to the death of one of them, while the other brother is currently hospitalized.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at around 9 am when 40-year-old Kajdi Kachalla and his younger brother, 28-year-old Baba Goni Kachalla, got into a physical fight on their mango plantation in the Ajari Area of Benishiekh.

Sources say that both brothers inflicted severe injuries on each other, using wooden sticks during the clash, resulting in serious head and mouth injuries.

Police responded promptly to the scene and rushed the two men to the General Hospital in Benishiekh for medical attention. Unfortunately, Kajdi Kachalla was pronounced dead on arrival, while Baba Goni Kachalla is still receiving medical treatment.

The body of the deceased was later released to his family for burial according to Islamic rites. The incident is under investigation by the police.
