JUST-IN: President Tinubu Returns To Nigeria Monday
President Bola Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria this Monday following a working visit to Europe, according to his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Onanuga made the announcement in a brief post on his official X handle, stating, “President Bola Tinubu will return home today.”
Though the Presidency did not disclose the specific time of arrival or his itinerary upon return, the development ends weeks of speculation regarding the President’s absence from the country .
President Tinubu had departed Nigeria on April 2 for Paris, France, for what was described as a short ‘working visit’.
During the visit, he was expected to appraise his administration’s mid-term performance and assess key milestones since assuming office.
In an earlier statement, Onanuga said the President would use the retreat “to review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.”
The period, he added, would also help inform plans to deepen reforms and accelerate national development priorities in the year ahead.
Following his engagements in Paris, President Tinubu proceeded to London over the weekend, where he continued consultations and maintained regular communication with senior government officials in Abuja.
