Military Retirees Shut Down Finance Ministry in Abuja

On Thursday morning, members of the Coalition of Military Pensioners in Abuja, representing retired personnel of the Nigerian Armed Forces, protested at the Federal Ministry of Finance over the non-payment of their 20% to 28% salary increment for the period from January to November 2024.

The retirees took the drastic step of shutting down the ministry’s operations in a bid to demand the payment of the owed increments.
