EFCC Arrests 4 Chinese, 101 Nigerians Over Suspected Internet Fraud
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested four Chinese nationals and 101 Nigerians in connection with an alleged internet fraud operation. The arrests were made at a business apartment in the Gudu area of Abuja on Thursday, January 9, 2025, according to EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale.
The suspects, comprising 67 men (including the four Chinese nationals) and 38 women, were allegedly involved in a hotel review scam that targeted victims and hotels in Europe and other parts of the world.
The EFCC has confirmed that the suspects will be charged to court after the completion of investigations.
