Tinubu Celebrates Ondo Governor Aiyedatiwa on 60th Birthday
President Bola Tinubu has extended heartfelt congratulations to Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, which falls on Sunday, January 12, 2025.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised Aiyedatiwa for his unwavering political commitment, which began with his membership in the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in 2011. Tinubu highlighted Aiyedatiwa’s loyalty and consistency through the party’s evolution into the All Progressives Congress (APC), demonstrating his dedication to Nigeria’s democratic journey.
Aiyedatiwa, who became Ondo State’s deputy governor in 2021, ascended to the role of acting governor and was later sworn in as governor in 2023, following the passing of his mentor, the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu. Tinubu described Aiyedatiwa’s political trajectory as a remarkable testament to the opportunities and potential within Nigerian politics.
The President also commended Aiyedatiwa’s resounding victory in the 2024 elections, which has enabled him to continue making impactful improvements in critical areas such as health and education, thereby enhancing the lives of Ondo citizens.
In addition, President Tinubu recognized Aiyedatiwa’s valuable contributions as a Commissioner at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), noting his significant role in advancing grassroots development and strengthening the institution’s effectiveness.
As Governor Aiyedatiwa celebrates this milestone, President Tinubu prayed for God’s continued blessings, good health, wisdom, and a long life for the governor.
