NSCDC Arrests Two Suspected Vandals in Kogi State

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested two individuals in Kogi State for alleged vandalism.

In a statement issued on Tuesday evening, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Abdullahi Aliyu, identified the suspects as Yakubu Muhammad and Rabiu Suleiman. They were apprehended in the Okumi area of Lokoja, near NATACO, following a routine patrol and reliable intelligence gathered by the NSCDC’s anti-vandal task force.

The suspects were caught in the act of vandalizing an Etisalat (now 9mobile) antenna mast. Under the leadership of Kogi State Commandant Akinlade Esther, the NSCDC has vowed to bring to justice any other accomplices who are still at large, leaving no effort spared in their pursuit.

Commandant Akinlade urged the public to assist security agencies by providing timely and credible information to help prevent potential security threats.

“The Commandant also warned individuals with criminal intentions to rethink their actions, stressing that the corps remains resolute in its mission to protect lives, property, and vital national infrastructure,” the statement read.

Aliyu further stated that the suspects would soon be arraigned in court once the investigation is completed.
