Gov Mohammed Signs Executive Order To Tackle Child Abduction In Bauchi

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, signed two significant Executive Orders on Tuesday aimed at addressing key governance challenges and enhancing the state’s development initiatives.

The first of these, Executive Order 1 of 2025, focuses on the Establishment of Zero Right Free of Way, a measure designed to safeguard children and minors from abduction and trafficking within the state. This order is part of the governor’s commitment to ensuring child protection and security in Bauchi.

The second, Executive Order 2 of 2025, targets the promotion of telecom infrastructure development. It aims to provide incentives to telecom service providers to enhance the state’s communications sector, improve business opportunities, and boost economic growth.

During the signing ceremony, Governor Mohammed also swore in 11 new special advisers, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to effective governance and achieving its developmental goals. He emphasized that the appointments were made to leverage the expertise of the new appointees, whom he expects to contribute positively toward fulfilling the aspirations of the people of Bauchi.

The new special advisers and their designated portfolios include:

  • Hon. Sanusi Khalifa – Special Adviser on Solid Minerals
  • Hon. Haladu Ayuba – Special Adviser on Societal Reorientation
  • Hon. Jidauna Tula – Special Adviser on Legal Matters
  • Hon. Adamu Bello – Special Adviser on Commerce and Industries
  • Alh. Danladi Mohammed Danbaba – Special Adviser on Humanitarian Affairs
  • Hon. Sani Mohammed Burra – Special Adviser on State/National Assembly Matters
  • Hon. Yakub Ibrahim Hamza – Special Adviser on Higher Education
  • Hon. Shitu Zaki – Special Adviser on Political Matters
  • Usman DanTuraki – Special Adviser on Labour Matters
  • Prof. Simon Madugu Yalams – Special Adviser on Technical & Vocational Education
  • Abubakar Abdulhamid Bununu – Special Adviser on Multilateral Coordination & Regional Integration

Governor Mohammed encouraged the new advisers to view their appointments as both a challenge and an opportunity to serve the people of Bauchi with integrity, dedication, and responsibility. He expressed confidence that their contributions would significantly advance his administration’s development agenda, bringing meaningful progress to the state.
