The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has officially received 112 newly recruited constables, who recently completed their training at the Police Training School in Niger State. These officers are part of the 10,000 recruits who successfully passed out from various Police Training Schools on January 23, 2025.

The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Disu, expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police for deploying the new officers to the FCT Command. In his welcome address, CP Disu highlighted that the addition of the 112 constables would significantly enhance the command’s capacity to improve public safety and security across the Federal Capital Territory.

CP Disu urged the new officers to uphold professionalism, integrity, and discipline in the performance of their duties. He emphasized their crucial role in safeguarding lives and property within the FCT while adhering to international best practices in policing.

As part of their integration process, FCT police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, announced that the new officers would take a two-week break before undergoing a specialized retraining program. This program is designed to fine-tune their skills and prepare them for field operations. After the retraining, the officers will be posted strategically and assigned to experienced police officers for mentorship, ensuring they uphold the values of exemplary policing.
