Edun Backs Indigenous Innovation in Electric Vehicle Production
Wale Edun, Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, has praised NEV Electric, an indigenous electric vehicle company under Brilliant Model Technology, for its contribution to advancing the country’s transportation sector.
During a firsthand experience with NEV Electric’s buses on Sunday, Edun lauded the company’s innovative approach to sustainable mass transit, noting that it aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at promoting cleaner and more efficient transportation.
In a statement shared on the ministry’s X handle, Edun highlighted the initiative’s potential to create jobs, enhance energy security, and improve urban mobility.
The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting local innovation and emphasized the vital role of private-sector collaboration in transforming Nigeria’s transportation system.
