We Are Grateful To Tinubu For Giving Us Wike As FCT Minister — Aduda
Senator Philip Aduda, the Minority Leader of the 9th Senate, expressed deep gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for appointing Chief Nyesom Wike as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, highlighting the significant infrastructure development in the FCT, especially in the satellite towns, over the past 16 months.
Speaking during a meeting with political leaders at his residence, Aduda praised the unprecedented progress made in the six Area Councils of the FCT, which he believes could not have been achieved without the leadership of President Tinubu. He emphasized that the level of development witnessed was beyond expectations, particularly in the context of road construction projects.
Aduda noted that six major roads flagged off in January 2024, such as the Yangoji-Sukuku-Ebo, Paikon Kore-Ibwa, Kuje, Gaba-Tokulo, and Saburi roads, were recently completed and commissioned. He commended the quality of work done and expressed gratitude for Wike’s appointment as FCT Minister, which he believes was pivotal in making these developments a reality.
The Senator also mentioned that as Wike commissioned these roads, he had already promised to begin new road construction projects in the Area Councils. Furthermore, Aduda highlighted the historical significance of Tinubu’s appointment of an indigenous representative from the FCT to the Federal Executive Council (FEC), alongside the creation of an autonomous Civil Service and the appointment of the first indigenous Head of Service.
In conclusion, Aduda called on religious leaders and FCT residents to continue praying for and supporting President Tinubu and Minister Wike to further the development of the FCT and improve the well-being of its people.
