NAF Personnel Undergo Disciplinary Action Over Clash with Police in Delta

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced that it is taking disciplinary action against its personnel involved in a recent altercation with officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in Warri, Delta State.

A viral video circulating on social media showed NAF personnel preventing the police from arresting a suspect during an incident that occurred on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. In response, NAF spokesman, AVM Olusola Akinboyewa, confirmed that the incident had been thoroughly addressed.

He revealed that the Commander of the concerned NAF unit has engaged with the relevant police authorities in Delta State to resolve the situation and improve inter-agency relations. The injured police officers have received the necessary medical treatment, and the NAF personnel involved are undergoing disciplinary procedures in line with military regulations.

Akinboyewa emphasized the NAF’s commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and fostering good relationships with sister agencies. He assured the public that appropriate measures are being taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. The public’s support and understanding were also requested during this time.
