Former Force Spokesperson Jimoh Moshood Appointed CP in Lagos

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has officially approved the appointment of Moshood Jimoh, the former Force Public Relations Officer, as the new Commissioner of Police for Lagos State Command.

Before this new assignment, CP Jimoh served as the Commissioner of Police at the Ports Authority, Eastern Ports.

A native of Kwara State, Jimoh has held various key positions in the Nigerian Police Force, including Deputy Commissioner of Police at the Airport Police, Deputy Commissioner of Finance and Administration, and Deputy Commissioner in charge of General Investigation.

He is highly trained, having participated in numerous professional courses, including a Combat Operations Course at the Mobile Training College in Maiduguri, a training with the African Union Mission in Darfur, Sudan, and a certification as a Weapons of Mass Destruction Countermeasure First Responder at a U.S. Training Institute.

Further, Jimoh has completed various specialized training programs, including studies on Social Construction and Management Reform at the China Executive Leadership Academy in Pudong, Maritime Rescue and Salvage for Developing Countries at the China Maritime Academy in Ningbo, and Anti-Hijacking Techniques at Yunnan Police College in Kunming, China. He has also undergone training at the Police Training Institute in Seoul, South Korea.

In recognition of his exemplary service, CP Moshood was honored with the Presidential Award for Public Relations Personality of the Year by the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations for his significant contributions to the field.

PSC spokesperson Ikechukwu Ani confirmed that the new Commissioner of Police for Lagos appeared before the Commission on Monday, as required, prior to his deployment.
