Meet Newly Elected Local Gov’t Chairmen in Osun As PDP Sweeps Polls
The Osun State local government area elections were successfully held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, across the state.
Hashim Abioye, the Chairman of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) and Chief Returning Officer for the election, announced that the candidates from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) emerged victorious in the chairmanship elections across all 30 local government areas. The PDP also won all 332 councillorship seats in the state.
