Ribadu Leads High-Level Nigerian Delegation to Meet Chad’s President Déby
On Sunday, President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno of Chad hosted a high-level Nigerian delegation led by Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu. The delegation comprised key security officials, including General Christopher Musa, Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff; Major General Emmanuel Undiandeye, Chief of Defence Intelligence; Major General Ali Salau, Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF); and other senior military and security leaders.
The meeting highlighted the strong diplomatic and security ties between Chad and Nigeria, with both nations emphasizing the importance of enhancing cooperation to address regional security challenges, particularly terrorism. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to working together to foster peace and stability in the Lake Chad Basin region.
