Wike Seeks Rivers People’s Support for Tinubu Administration
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Wike, has called on the people of Rivers State to support the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Wike made this appeal during an end-of-year Thanksgiving Service held in the Ochiba community in Ahoada-East Local Government Area of the state. The event was organized by leaders and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Ahoada-East and Ahoada-West Local Government Areas.
As the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Wike assured the people that he would use his current position to advocate for their welfare and development.
Addressing the ongoing political crisis in Rivers, Wike urged his supporters to remain resolute and not be discouraged by external criticisms.
Prince Chibudom Nwuche, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, also spoke at the event, commending Wike for his exemplary leadership. He expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for appointing Wike as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, highlighting Wike’s transformative contributions both to the capital and to Rivers State during his tenure as governor.
“We are fully behind you,” Nwuche said. “Forget the noise, our people are with you.”
The event was also attended by notable figures including the former governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, the chairman of the PDP in Rivers State, Hon. Chukwuemeka Aaron, and the state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Tony Okocha.
