Bauchi Gov Appoints New Head of Service, Economic Adviser
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has appointed Barrister Mohammed Sani as the new Head of Civil Service for the state. He replaces Yahuza Haruna, who has been appointed as the Governor’s Chief Economic Adviser.
Sani, a seasoned legal practitioner and administrator, will lead the state’s civil service, working to ensure efficiency and professionalism in the public sector. Before his new role, Sani served as the Permanent Secretary in the Establishment office of the Head of Civil Service.
Meanwhile, Haruna, an expert in economic planning and policy, will advise the government on key economic strategies aimed at sustainable development. As Chief Economic Adviser, he will collaborate with the State Economic Management Team to provide inter-sectoral policy guidance and monitor the progress of government initiatives.
Confirming the appointments, Mukhtar Gidado, spokesperson for Governor Mohammed, stated that both appointees will be sworn in on Wednesday morning. He emphasized that these appointments are part of the governor’s ongoing efforts to enhance governance, strengthen the civil service, and improve economic management in the state.
Additionally, Governor Mohammed has approved the redeployment of two chairmen of educational institution boards. Dr. Abubakar Dahiru Bauchi, former Chairman of the Governing Board of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, will now serve as Chairman of the Governing Board of AD Rufai College of Education, Legal and Islamic Studies, Misau. Senator Lawan Gumau, previously the Chairman of AD Rufa’i College of Education, will now take over as Chairman of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic.
